From specialist electronic coatings to decorative plating, Brotherton Esseco produce a range of chemicals that are used to enhance metal finishing. Products such as ammonium formate and sodium allyl sulphonate are used in specialist plating and brightening solutions to produce high quality decorative coatings, whereas ammonium carbonate is an important ingredient in chrome plating solutions. These are used in applications where cosmetic appearance of metal products is of fundamental importance such as vehicle trims, jewellery and domestic appliances and fittings. In addition, potassium acetate has an important role in printed circuit board production and N-Benzyl nicotinate is used primarily in zinc coatings which have excellent corrosion resistence properties.
