NOx reduction (DeNOx)
Ammonia solution can be used to reduce harmful nitrous oxide emissions
in flue gases. Typical applications include energy from waste plants,
power stations and cement kilns. The industry standard is 25% ammonia
solution which is utilised in conjunction with either selective
catalytic reduction (SCR), or selective non-catalytic reduction
(SNCR) control systems. In order to comply with existing and forthcoming
legislation such as the waste incineration directive (WID) and large
combustion plant directive (LCPD) certain industries must operate
within strict emissions limits. Injection of ammonia solution in
flue stacks allow these oprations to comply with the regulations
on NOx.
Brotherton currently supply around 10,000 tonnes of ammonia solution
to UK industry and also offer a free technical support service where
advice on bulk installations and handling systems can be sought.
This is essential when considering the use of this hazardous product.
At Brotherton we don’t just want to sell you our products
- your confidence in our ability to supply reliably and safely is
of paramount importance.
